- Tell us about yourself
- I am from Massachusetts, and got into type when I joined Compugraphic after working at a newspaper as a photographer. I moved to Seattle, joined Microsoft and created the world's favourite font. I was born an eighth of a mile from Fenway Park in Boston and I have lived in England since 1999. Since then I have been part of the Richmond Baseball Club in London where they have named a field after me.
- What prompted you to take your current role?
- I really like knowing how things work. So getting into the technical aspects was second nature.
- What's your favourite part of your job?
- Certainly solving problems that someone else has with anything.
- What's your Small Object of Design, and why?
- It has to be that little wheel in the middle of the mouse I use to zoom or scroll all the time and Steve Jobs didn't invent it.
