Tephra is our new font family based on the lowercase typeface designed by 8vo in 1994. The original font was used for interact, a special issue of the American Center for Design Journal, and later used for the 1997 Flux New Music Festival poster series.

The original type has been updated and extended by Dalton Maag to six complementary weights designed to be overlaid and intermixed to create a rich typographic effect.

To celebrate the launch of Tephra, we're hosting an exhibition of six glorious limited edition prints, created by Hamish Muir, at the offices of Leagas Delaney, 1 Alfred Place, London WC1, open to the public from Thursday 20 March.

A private viewing of the exhibition will take place from 18:30 to 20:00, Wednesday 19 March. If you'd like to be added to the guest list, please email us.

The limited edition prints will be available at £120+VAT for all six at the private viewing, and from the following day online.
