Our Library: OEM Licensing
While our standard User Licence only allows you to install our fonts on equipment that you own or lease, OEM licensing allows you to include our fonts as part of equipment and products that you sell or supply to others. Typical examples include mobile phones, television set-top boxes, and printers.
We offer three OEM pricing schemes to cover the logistical and economic needs of all types of equipment manufacturer. All OEM agreements also cover your suppliers, provided that they are producing equipment for supply to you or direct to your customers.
Per-Unit Per-Font: An agreed fee is paid quarterly for the number of fonts and units shipped during the quarter (or sold, your choice at the commencement of the agreement). There is usually a minimum number of units per quarter and the agreement can be ended by you with three months' notice.
Annual Licence: This is an agreement which is suitable only for OEMs who have an ongoing contractual relationship with their customers, such as mobile phone networks, and pay-TV providers. The fee is derived from the number of customers you have at the beginning of the agreement period, and is contractually guaranteed for renewal, again based on customer numbers.
Unlimited Licence: As with the Annual Licence, this is an agreement which is suitable only for OEMs who have an ongoing contractual relationship with their customers. The fee is again derived from the number of customers you have at the beginning of the agreement period, but the agreement is perpetual, regardless of increasing customer numbers in future.
